Installazione di PfSense firewall su Koala FW4LN - Nuovo modello 2016

KOALA MINI PC a basso consumo e con Linux preinstallato

Questo test è stato effettuato con la configurazione più completa possibile:

  • 4GB RAM on board
  • 4 LAN Gigabit 10/100/1000 (tutte onboard)
  • 1 Wifi Realtek mini- PCIe ATTENZIONE: LA WIFI mini-PCIe non viene rilevata da pfSense

Supporto Wifi con pfSense

Koala FW4LN supporta le Wifi mini-PCIe interne solo con Ubuntu 14.04 o superiori. Per avere la Wifi con pfSense si deve usare una Wifi-USB esterna. Abbiamo testato una TP-LINK TL-WN725N


About the pfSense Project

pfSense is a free, open source customized distribution of FreeBSD tailored for use as a firewall and router. In addition to being a powerful, flexible firewalling and routing platform, it includes a long list of related features and a package system allowing further expandability without adding bloat and potential security vulnerabilities to the base distribution. pfSense is a popular project with more than 1 million downloads since its inception, and proven in countless installations ranging from small home networks protecting a PC and an Xbox to large corporations, universities and other organizations protecting thousands of network devices.
